I’ve picked something extra fun to post about for my first post back after fashion week: Yesterday was Kristi Cook’s book release party for Haven! I read an advance review copy a few weeks back, and totally fell in love with the unique world Kristi created. If you haven’t read Haven yet, pick it up! It’s a fresh spin on the teen paranomal romance genre. Kristi and I have been occasionally chatting back and forth on twitter since I started my blog, so I decided to take a mini train trip to see her at her event and get my book signed.
For some crazy reason, I always seem to have transportation drama when going anywhere (my local subway wasn’t running). But I made it to Grand Central, and was able to hop on a train up to Larchmont NY, to the party at The Voracious Reader.

I arrived to find copies of Haven everywhere! And a huge plate of delicious petit fours waiting for the guests.
These petit fours were amazing! Thankfully, Kristi got these in Manhattan. So I can get more!
After chatting with Kristi, and socializing with some really cool fellow book bloggers, the event began.

I’m so glad I took a little day trip up to attend Kristi’s party. She was super nice, and so excited to hear bloggers had come from all over the east coast to attend her party! Thanks so much to Kristi and The Voracious Reader for having us. If I’m ever back in Larchmont, I’ll be stopping by The Voracious Reader again. What a cute store! I’ll be looking forward to the release of book two, and the next party. : )
