I am finally catching up with life after BEA, and and after my weekend photo trip to Jamaica. I’m now working on some fun daily recaps which should be up soon, editing photos from BEA and the Teen Author Carnival, and trying to plan out my now very intimidating TBR list. Despite being completely worn out by the end, traveling to another country and missing day 3, and learning the hard way what to absolutely not do at BEA (trying to be in 4 places at once, wearing brand new shoes) I had a blast!
In celebration of all the fun I had, and all the amazing people I met, I’m offering my readers a copy of Richelle Mead’s new Vampire Academy spinoff series Bloodlines. As one of my most anticipated books of 2011, I was so excited to I grab a copy during Richelle’s signing on Tuesday. Bloodlines was one of 3 books on my “I will cry if I don’t find it at BEA” list. On Wednesday, I was lucky enough to find a second copy, which I picked up to give my roommate for her birthday that week. Turns out roomie –who also attended BEA doing publicity work for her job– scored Bloodlines, and a matching tote bag from the nice folks at the Penguin booth on her own on Thursday.
Our little mistake will make for one very happy reader! I’d love to keep this giveaway for huge fans of the Vampire Academy series only. But that might be a bit hard, since I have absolutely no way of regulating it. I’d obviously recommend ONLY entering if you have read the original Vampire Academy series. If you haven’t, the copy on the back of this book alone will spoil the entire series for you.

I work in a bookstore and I rec this series so hard. I love how badass Rose is as a character, how resilient she is even in some of the worst circumstances, and Dmitri just makes me drool. It’s a fantastic romance but it’s also great action with a heroine who isn’t going to just sit back and wait to be rescued. I wouldn’t call myself a feminisit but Twilight made me want to vomit. VA makes me want to cheer.

The Vampire Academy series is one of my all time favorite series… EVER! I absolutely love love love Dimitri. I would have to agree with the ladies who pick Ben Barnes to star in that role. When I finally read the first book, I was hooked! My favorite character is Rose. She is one bad a$$ chickie. I would love to have her self esteem, while being able to kick some butt at the same time. AND the fact that she has Dimka….*swoon*

Its not the I don’t know why I want Bloodlines it’s just that I REALLY won’t know how to explain it and I know if I say “OH I REALLY want it because it’s my favorite series” that we be boring because everybody says that when its soo much more than, I get to escape reality and go into this other world this world that has no words to discribe it and the characters are amazing I don’t think anyone will for get them. I would LOVE to win a copy of Bloodlines just because it would save me lots of time waiting(I am a very impatient person) for August 23rd. And I would just die if I got to read it before it actually comes out. It would just make my entire life. My favorite character? Its a tie between Rose and Adrian. Rose because she is so…just awesome. She is such a badass and she would do anything for her friends(like I would). I would LOVE if Odette Yustman played her in the movie. Adrian because I just love him. He is so funny and really does have a heart if it’s toward someone he cares about. I want Alex Pettyfur to play him in the movie.
I Love Vampire Academy it is my favorite of all I read it alot! My favorite is Dimitri he can kick butt and I like Ben Barnes too! I was lucky when Last Sacrifice came out in December I found it a week early on my Birthday best present Ever :)It is also the first thing I read that got me into reading! I want to read bloodlines REALLY BADLY because I absolutely loved the VA series. I love Rose and Dimitri’s relationship and how they connect and it makes me want to go find a guy like Dimitri. I want to see what other characters Richelle gets together and I really don’t want to wait until August to read Bloodlines. Yea I’m an impatient person. I would really love to get this book and would appreciate it so much.

I want to read Bloodlines because I’m such a HUGE Richelle Mead fan and Vampire Academy is my favorite series. It’s hard to choose a favorite character because Richelle’s writing is so well that when you finish a book it feels like your say goodbye to good friends. I feel I love Rose the most, because we, as readers, go through all her trials and tribulations with her and she becomes apart of us. A dream cast character of mine would be for Adrian to be played by Ian Somerhalder. I just think he could portray Adrian’s “devil may care” atttitude so well.
I want to win this book because i absoultly love the series and the world it’s based in. My favorite charachter is Adrian because i love he is. i believe Ian Somerhalder is a good Adrian because he can act like him. And i can’t wait to read Bloodlines!

I’ve been in love with Vampire Academy since the first book came out. Reading all about Rose’s trials and tribulations of being a dhampir (and always managing to get in trouble!!) has made me a serious VAddict. ❤ Aside from the main characters, my personal favorite character is Sydney. The Alchemists really interest me, and that's why I'm so glad Sydney is the narrator in Bloodlines, and why I can't wait to read it. One of my *DREAM* cast members of the movie would be Mia Wasikowska for Mia Rinaldi's part. She's short, and she's got the perfect look for a Moroi. She was also amazing as Alice in Alice in Wonderland.

From the moment I picked up Vampire Academy, I was hooked. I read the first 3 books in 1 day and cried at least 37 times. When I finished Last Sacrifice, I got this weird feeling in my gut, after I finished crying of course, that was neither good or bad, but made me want more. When I heard about Bloodlines, I got the feeling again. There was so much left unanswered. Eddie, Adrian, Jill, Mia, and Sydney being the most appealing to me. I wanted to hear more about her story; what would have to her after they were caught, and who she would drag with her.
My personal favorite character is kinda tied. I am totally team Dimitri, but I love Adrian! He’s got that bad-boy steamy look that is appealing to pretty much the entire female population. I also love Christian. He’s the sarcastic big-brother type that knows when to shut up or when to speak up.
My all time dream cast member is…I don’t have one! I can never find one specific celeb. that I think would be the perfect fit for the character. If I had to choose one person though, I would probably say Hayden Panettiere for Lissa, or Odette Yustman for Rose. I really can’t picture anyone for Dimitri or Adrian. It’s kind of weird, because when I picture Adrian, I always see him with pitch black hair, not brown. But anyways…

Adrian is my favorite character, hands down. I’ve liked Vampire Academy since the first book, but was really hooked after Frostbite. I love the Vampire Academy series because Mead creates an intriguing world and wonderful characters. I definitely want to read “Bloodlines” because I know that there’s so much more going on in the VA universe than we were allowed to see through Dmitri, Rose, and Lissa’s POVs and “Bloodlines” will allow us that chance. I’m still needing to reread 5 and 6 (it’s been that long), but that’s why I want to read it – to get a full flavor of the ENTIRE VA universe, not just what we saw in the first series. I can’t wait. 😀

I love Richelle Mead’s writing. The VA series is one of my favorite and I cannot wait to continue reading more about that fantasy world from Sydney’s perspective. I’d also love to find out about Adrian. I pretty much have been reading any and every review about Bloodlines that’s been released.
I want to read Bloodlines because I’ve been so intrigued by Sydney’s character since she was introduced in VA and because i HAVE got to know what Richelle Mead is going to do shake up this rule-abiding girl with her “all vamps are evil creatures of the night” beliefs. I absolutly loved Vampire Academy! Richelle Mead is a GREAT writer and I want to read this series because well I can stay in the wonderful univers of VA in our world…or rather the Alchemists. My favorite character is Rose for sure. I love her determination and personality. Frankly I have yet to see someone that I would even consider for Rose. I quess whomever the producers choose will be good but not great because the real Rose I know is in my mind.
